It should be memorable.

This is the time that feels so fine to be outside the house. It’s warm and guys are getting shirtless everywhere, yet not that sweltering heat that will oppress us soon enough.
In a little over a month, we will celebrate yet another Gay Pride, a week long celebration usually planned to coincide around the anniversary of the Stonewall Riots, which most everyone credits with the birth of the Gay Liberation Movement. The truth is, Gay folks were making political ripples a long time before that June of 1969 , though there is no denying things really began moving more quickly after that famous Drag Queen vs Police altercation. It is amazing how mythical such incidents become when we remember them. For instance, it is a generally accepted fact that there would have been no riots at all had the streets of Greenwich Village not already been crowded with queens and queers who had been lining the route of Judy Garland’s funeral procession. The great entertainer and Gay icon had died on June 22, at her London home and was buried in New York on June 29. So it is that our yearly Pride fest has always been a bittersweet affair. This is the time we celebrate how far we have come, while remembering those who are no longer with us. And though we acknowledge we still have a way to go before equality for all individuals is reality, we cannot helped but be touched by the lives of so many who came before us and helped us be who we are. Whether a loved one lost in the mayhem that was the early HIV crisis, a pre-Stonewall Gay rights crusader finally laying down his banner, an unwitting victim of a cowardly hate crime, a young teen seemingly out of hope who takes his own life, or the greatest entertainer of all time dying at the age of 47. As Summer begins every year, we remember.
Now, here is where I need a lot of indulgence from my long time fans, and some patience from those of you who just stopped by. Gomez is posting his first ever video. Yes, I know I said that I would never post one of those things, here, but I feel I need to make an exception. Please join me in enjoying possibly the greatest musical production number in motion picture history. Be sure to turn up the volume. You’ll want to hear that voice in all its glory. You might want to go full screen as well.
Yes, it is in two parts. You guys know Youtube has time limits on the videos?
OMG! When she does that bit with the cane at the end of Swanee in part 2, I get chills all over.
I hate waiting for porn vids to load, so I will always prefer the photographs. There is just so much to see. You must agree or you wouldn’t be here.
BE SURE TO CLICK TO ENLARGE THE GROUP SHOT ON THE SECOND ROW FROM THE BOTTOM. AWESOME.
…when I think of eruptions.
